We are on the same server but had to change to Mediah 02 due to Calpheon 2 always being overcrowded and causing our Oceanic players lag and some rubber-banding.

BDO is dl on my pc as we speak.

Takes me a long time to choose a game and have been without an MMORPG to commit to for a while now so hopefully this is everything I want and more.

    See you all in there!

Here is an example of the out-of-the-way things that are included in the game.

I explore A LOT (mostly all I do at this time) and found this cave at the head-waters of a stream...it was slowly flowing out of the cave. While the cave didn't go anywhere, it is still very cool that the Devs put this in the game!

    Enjoy!

I don't think I've ever taken so many screenshots in a game as I have with this. So many beautiful areas, and I am still in the early zones!

Have you found the Observation Mode yet? If not, look it up. There are also controls that are not shown on how to control the image while in Observation Mode. You can change focus, change filters, etc.

    Camera Mode

Camera mode allows you to take screenshots, without seeing your UI elements. You can activate camera mode by hitting Ctrl + U. The same command can also be used to disable it.
    Camera Mode Controls
    <↑>, <↓>, <←>, <→>: Moves the camera view.
<Ctrl> + <↑>, <↓>: Adjusts the camera focus (Highlight function).
<Shift> + <↑>, <↓>: Adjusts the field of view (FOV).
<Shift> + <←>, <→>: Tilts the camera to the left or right.
    <Ctrl> + <Shift> + <↑>, <↓>: Applies a photo filter.
    <Ctrl> + <Shift> + <←>, <→>: Applies grain filter and vignette.
You can also use the mouse to pan/tilt/spin/zoom while in this mode.

    Have fun and TQQdles™

Oooh wow that is neat. I knew how to hide the ui and move the camera during, but not the rest. Think my tumblr is going to get even more pics soon thanks to this lol

    Thanks for the info!

As a huge fan of the game, I think Fevir describes it well in his YouTube videos. Here's his latest: How's Black Desert Doing?

    downloading

Any alternate ways to download this game? It is very very slow on my non-NBN Australian internet. I can usually download much much faster than it is currently going so I believe part of the problem is theirs.

Sadly none that I have seen, the BDO launcher is the only way to download the client unless you can find someone willing to download it and send it too you (or upload it somewhere for you).

Sorry, but I am in the same boat. Stuck on 3G in a rural area. I have only just finished downloading it myself. Took around 3 weeks and a bunch of trips to the 'local' library.

LOL 3 weeks is pretty funny.

Speed seems to have picked up tonight so at about 30% since I started this morning. Guess it will take me about 2 days at this rate.

If you're using 3G to play, it's probably worth noting that there's a weekly patch (Wedensday nights, Australian time) that's usually half a gig.

They seem to alternate between a bugfix/maintenance release and a feature/content release with these weekly patches. (The feature/content release will contain fixes, but the bugfix release that follows it won't typically have any new features or content.)

The launch of 2 new character classes seems to have brought back the load problems that we saw at launch, but we've gotten better at coping, and the increase in servers a month ago does seem to have helped as well.

    Valencia is releasing tomorrow.

    https://www.blackdesertonline.com/news/view/163

How is TOG doing on Orwen/Jordine?

My guild, PRX, is doing well on Edan. We were one of four groups to take a region in the first round of sieges and are totally pumped for the Valencia content.

    Hello, all.
I noticed the last post on this forum is from 2016? Is anyone playing this game or using the forums anymore? Just curious ;-)
