Breakdown of whats coming in The Division

For those who may not follow Skill-Up here's his detailed analysis of what was said by Massive CMs in recent State of the Game streams. I think there is reason to be excited about 1.4, but the question remains, will it go far enough to fix the ailments the game has?

watched it live and all i can say is HUZZAH.

Gear dropping from plain old lvl 30s, much of it green or high end.

Roaming bosses.

Incursions now have more checkpoints, Clear sky for example has checkpoints b/t waves... No more awkward fails at 15/16

Incursions still are group orientated so pretty hard/impossible to solo.

MP7 'nerf' however since alot of things reworked not really... *cough*


Better start farming those performance mods that we always salvage, all amour pieces now have extra slots for mods. One slot for standard enhancing mods - stamina, fire arms & electronics and a seperate slot for performance mods.
A chest piece has 3 slots for mods, one per normal and 2 for performance (EDIT might be 3 on high end/sets. saw purple only with 2 slots)
Everything else has one slot for enhancing mods and one for performance (EDIT backpack had 3 slots aswell)

Bad Thing all mods are going to be re-rolled with new stats, as everything changes, it would be impossible from a technical issues involved to keep em 'vanilla'
So Stock up, for better chances.

All weapon mods have been changed, different stats are being applied.

Gear set items are being changed. Like before no stat changes are being made to gear on characters now, have to re-farm like before to get the modified items.

Sentry nerfed, alpha buffed, dead eye much the same, blind and reclaimers tbd, Firecrest 3 piece changed - 50% dmg and range with fire turret

More changes cannot think off right now.

Oh and NO MORE LONESTAR HVTS *cough* can get every set now, so decreased chance of lonestar drops... hey its something

 

Looks good. I may roll a new character and start over with the new system.

 

Yeah ill probably lvl a fresh one over the weekend and on and of during the PTS.

Monday will probably see a slamming of servers as old and new come and see whats what

 

Talks about talents being nerfed/buffed in 1.4 worth a listen even if not interested in the items themselves.

Wow I am not going to recognize the game when I play it again. Definitely going to put some time into the PTS when it becomes publicly available. Unlike a lot of people who will be crying over their optimized 1.3 gear builds, I am hopeful that things will improve markedly with all the changes. Its good to see Massive giving things a shake, lets hope they get 1.4 right, because the last two patches have not been all that fantastic truth be told.

 

Some time today the PTS. Maint from 3-8 AWST, so hopefully release during that time...

The PTS is now available for owners of The Division on Uplay PC. Opening for Steam users will take longer and is expected later today.

Feedback on the Ubi Forums is for the most part positive. Looking forward to playing tonight.

 

got all brackets unlocked, however bit too paper for tier 4.

Tier one is pretty easy.

Loot drops are a plenty. Greens drop regularly from purples/elites. Roaming bosses always drop a gold.

Farmed search and destroy till near max intel, when peeps come online can do some HVTs, happy to carry/shout for em.

LMGs are strong, rip em up good. SRS good too.

Can solo challenging at tier 3!

Also rmbr to use voice coms, see a few on and im the only one using it...
