After playing The Division and getting frustrated by the antics of some players, it's good to see a publisher take a hard-line stance:

Cheating in Overwatch - Overwatch Forums

    Most notably:
What does this mean for Overwatch? If a player is found to be cheating—or using hacks, bots, or third-party software that provides any sort of unfair advantage—that player will be permanently banned from the game. Full stop.

Tbh don't just ban the overwatch access, revoke the whole battle.net account including any games they have associated with it.

I'm glad this is not based on some automatic cheat detection device without appeal rights. I just don't trust them and I hate any system that doesn't have an appeal process.

    I like this bit:

Completely agree 2i, a keen eye will usually pick them out, fingers crossed though, this like most of the blizz games are relatively well policed/free of to much of the rubbish.

You forget the best Anti-Cheat that Blizzard has as well. Outright suing the hack makers, which Blizzard has done before for several hundred thousand.

I just watched this video, found it quite informative. Sounds very similar to a lot of CS hacks, but here are a few things to keep in mind when watching a kill cam.

It never takes long, but the bigger game houses may have more reasons and ability to
    catch offenders.

    Thousands Banned

So apparently the first wave of bans has happened. Apparently even some who re-bought the game had the 2nd account banned. Wow, GG Blizzard.

Yeah i saw that on the reddit forums, looks like they are focusing on the HWID banning process as opposed to IP's.

Alot more costly or requires more technical knowledge to avoid to get back in and re-offend if this is the case.

May the system be more reliable and trustworthy than others. Black Desert Online system seems riddled with errors or false bans ... Or so we hear. Makes it extremely difficult for us here to consider and act on systems discredited.

Glad to see they are taking a firm stance against cheaters. Warms the heart.
