Ok, so last night I decided to give one of my in-active companions in Sanctuary an old power suit to walk around in and defend the settlement.

Pretty sweet idea I thought, till I went back to Sanctuary this morning to find him out of the power suit and walking around without a care in the world. I then proceeded to toss the place, searching high and low for this power suit.

    30 mins later. No dice.

I also discovered I cannot string my companions up by the tendons and question them mercilessly or even give them a guilt trip over losing the armor.

So, what did I learn here you might ask. NEVER give an in-active compaion a power suit. Unless of course we can weld it closed.

Had the same problem with preston, after a quick run around found it in one of the houses in sanctuary hills.
And now he owns it, i cant ask another companion to hop in as it counts as stealing...

Danse has the hots for me now! I think it's a bit soon since the death of my wife. add to that I am thinking some super mutant action might be more fun.

Geez, been reading all over the place about people hooking up with their companions. Wondering what the locals think of me since I only bother teaming up with Dogmeat. He inspires me to rush into a room and kick arse when I hear the enemy beating up on him! The only companion I'd spend any stimpaks on, too.

@Purg Dogmeat actually finds me stuff and barks to let me know of danger or loot .. Others are useless and trip me over or block doorways :)

There are times Dogmeat sticks me in the shit. Going all sneaky sneaky and Dogmeat will open a door and unleash whatever it is inside on me. But I still adore that loveable scamp.

The only time I have used another companion is on the mission in which they become your companion. I don't even recall where I sent them too.

I probably sacrifice some fire power bringing Dogmeat alone, but it is good when he takes down a baddie which makes it easy to execute them.

For me, companions are more or less just decoy's. When the sh** hits the fan and I'm officially in "Danger", they make half decent meatshields.

I'd use Dogmeat for this purpose if only the poor thing had doggy armor that wasn't just cosmetic.

I know all about the doggy armor, but it still offers 0 damage resist, thus cosmetic.

I'm sure someone will put out a mod to add some values to it. Till then he's now just an armored squishy doggy.

I hate the companions in this game so goddamn much. I avoid using them altogether but then so many quests force followers on you.

It's like they designed the AI to be as frustrating as possible on purpose.
Trying to be stealthy? How about I run in and alert everyone.
Want to disarm that mine? Cool, I'll just stand on it then and kill us both.
Want to walk through this doorway? Tough shit princess, I want to just stand here and stare at you.

I like Strong, I've given him Grogank's axe, he's good to send in to fight so I clean up from the edges.

Lone Wanderer perk still works when you have Dogmeat with you. It's only negated if you bring one of the 'people' companions.

only ever use Dogmeat anyway :)

I like Piper - especially when she goes all Ninja on the Stealth boy bosses and makes them visible
