Ok so lets see what steamprices.com has to say. Oh dear it's not look good for us Aussies is it? The steam store price is consistent for the RRP in the Australian region. What to do? Perhaps you could get a nice person from one of the cheaper territories to gift it via steam to you. Or order a boxed copy for one of the fairly priced regions and have it sent to you like Amazon.com who currently stock it for $39. Happy racing.
Indeed. We got pooched over that one. I bought from the EA Store, digital download which you'd think they would be sympathetic to not owning anything you can physically hold.. but no. If you can wait, most certainly grab it from Amazon. I am digging it though. If you're a racing fan, it's worth it.
Thanks for the heads up Mr. Rocket. I think I get the rellies from the UK to gift it over..... It makes me angry.
..... sighs how typical... i saw it at $49.99 this morning.. thought, yeah I will look at it again in 6 hours when I get home... $79.99 when I get back..... <Insert Loud Colorful Language shouted from rooftop!!!!>
GAME - Buy & Download Need For Speed Shift 2 - Unleashed? for PC at max speed UK£ 27.99 = AU$ 43.55 They're more than happy to take Aussie credit cards. I got Shogun 2 off them recently.
Just found this site: GameCafe.com.au - Australia's Video Game Price Compare Search Engine - Search 59 video game stores at once for the best price And Ive read good stuff about ozgameshop: Need For Speed NFS Shift 2 Unleashed Game PC - ozgameshop.com $42.99 with Free Delivery...
I checked that site out before and was about to buy something when they had a stipulation of UK customers only at the bottom of the screen. Now I don't know if or how that's enforced - seems like it isn't - didn't go ahead with the purchase as didn't want to pay and have the game deactivated.
Hmm... where did you see the UK customers only bit? I looked in their terms and conditions and FAQ and couldn't find anything. I'm still playing Shogun 2. Also, they have a country dropdown in the address forum you use when purchasing. Haven't see anything about it being UK customers only (perhaps I missed it) but so far it's working just fine for me.
I don't recall exactly where it was and don't know whether it was game specific. I just recall on another purchase I was going to do that you linked to, it was on the page where you enter in your credit car details. It's not obvious on this one from what I can see so I can only assume that it doesn't apply to this title.
Doesn't make sense really since the aussie dollar is almost the same value as the american currently :s
