I liked the first Crysis but just couldn't get into the 2nd one. Got bored and it never really gave me a compelling reason to go back to it. I still have no idea what it was about despite putting several hours into it.

I'm still not sure if you actually play games Ned, or just scour the web for new releases... :p

On topic, I've never actually tried the Crysis games. Always wanted to though - perhaps I should see if I can pick up the earlier ones for cheap.

I had a look into the Crysis-3-Beta and must say that I didn't like it.

When Crysis 1 + 2 came out I had underpowered PC's, so they was not enjoyable at all for me.

I think I will pass on this one, as I have already not enough time to play BF3 / BLOPS-2 / Aliens: Colonial Marines / Dead Space-3 / PlanetSide-2.

    :)

Crysis has always been a mediocre shooter at best,it was always way too easy with stupid AI even on highest difficulty it provided no challenge.
Crysis is the game you show to other people, non gamers what a PC can do but it continues to be a borefest that you completely forget what you have experienced the minute you have finished to game.
From a gameplay experience crysis 1 is still the surperior game of the 3 and that was 6 years ago, this is sad actually.
It shows the state the industry is in, churning out no risk mediocre crap.
Meanwhile the suits wonder why the games are selling bad and that it must be a sign of the times because people are playing on mobile and facebook.

No its because you are releasing pieces of crap that are boring to play.

I quite liked the first two Cryses. And I desperately need something to wash the foul taste of Aliens:Colonial Marines out of my mouth (have I mentioned before how shit that game is? :) ).

Alternatively, I could hang out to early next month for Heart of the Swarm - that shit looks (and plays) awesome.

I'm quite enjoying Crysis 3 so far. It's certainly a beautiful game, even without the settings cranked up. The visual fidelity of the NPCs in particular is becoming uncanny.

Lol. That NPC does seem to sweat profusely, but I've yet to hear him break into, "developers, developers, developers..." in the thick of the action. ;)

I had a short look into it and the game looks great and maybe the campaign could be even fun.

8hrs in and i think i am nearly done.
I am really enjoying this, any game that can keep me going that long is always going to be a great game. mind you thats 8 hrs straight i love games like this

I was a bit sceptical about the bow but i ended up using it as my main weapon :p

The graphics are awesome, i have it cranked to very high and my god it looks fantastic.

The AI is a bit stupid some times but the problems are hardly noticeable at the most.

The story is very fleshed out, im constantly hunting the intel to find out whats been happening in game world.

This is turning into a 9/10. Maybe a 10/10 for me if the ending is good.

I've got a few hours in. Not a bad shooter, I'm not that big a fan of single player ones. I see Crysis more as a tech demo.

The graphics are by far the best I've ever seen on PC - it's not even a close call.. and I've only got them on high. The environments are just drop dead gorgeous. I'd love to see something like ARMA style MP using this engine. Once we do have the hardware to provide grass hundreds of meters out, realistic shooters will really come into their own. The level with the alien things rummaging through the high grass was exceptional.
