All excited I laid down the money to buy ESO and waited expectantly for work to finish. Got home and loaded up the game thinking I'll be making a character soon. The wife even came down and sat with me to watch for a time.

Fail..........the game would not connect as it needed a 15GB download to install and would take an estimated 9 hrs to do it.

    WTF..........I mean it WTF.

So the download was left to occur overnight.

Might see you in game tomorrow fellas.

It would seem that will not be the end of it. They under estimated the number of people who are going to play this game. People are getting failed connections and long queue times to even get in. That's after the huge download.

Not off to a very good start.

I will not let it deter me.

I finally got in last night (Xbox One) after a three-hour day-one patch download and another half-hour of "Login Failed" messages. It's ridiculous that they underestimated the number of players so badly. They should have a pretty good idea of the number of copies they sold. Didn't they realize everyone who bought a copy was going to try to log in on day one?

A friend of mine explained they might be assuming people will not play as much in a few weeks or months time so set the initial level at that. Is based on an assumption of less people playing.

Download installed over night and I gave it a go this evening. Beautiful and easy game play. Was just getting my head around everything when I get the guild invite. Thanks for that. Didn't have enough I me to chat but planning on a big lay through on the weekend.

Still trying to download now.. Your lucky, I bought it digitally on the cheap because I have the pc version. Its a 40gb download!! It was going well till last night and then it started crawling, as it is now 1 day later... 100mb to go, on a 80mb/s connection and its going so slow.. I hope the queues will die down a little bit

Did the signup process through the console. Confirmation email received.

Clicked it only to get the website for registration. Filled in the registration details and then saved. Tried to login and it say's invalid email password combination.

So not sure if I'm activated or not. Frustrating.

Okay sorted now. Was trying to use my email address which is no longer needed as my PSN ID has been linked.

They are heavy on security. Logging into the website requires a security code if logging in on a new device like a PC or handheld.

Not everyone preorders. The only numbers they would know would be preorder numbers, and maybe transfer order numbers. I know quite a few people that just went to pick it up the day it came out.

I'm a little curious on how it will handle streaming to the Vita.

Good questions. Shouldn't be a worry but I need to buy one of them one day.

Sold my old PSP a long long time ago.

I have the vita, just no PS4 yet.

Got the vita when it was on a great sale, so I couldn't pass it up. Planned on getting both, but can't the PS4 right now.

Also spreading the word on the new section in the ESO division for the console players. http://www.theoldergamers.com/forum/console-guilds-na-server/
