I have recently developed new interest in this game and will be watching it. If this post is still here I'll add to it as I find new stuff, and please do also anyone who is interested in this game. Twitter Feed: https://twitter.com/TESOnline Official Site: http://www.elderscrollsonline.com/en/
If it does disappear, just search through your posts in the usercp, only so many threads are viewable in this section.... And yes its about time they brought the Elder Scrolls properly into the online world
looking forward to playing this game. interesting that the orcs and humans have aligned against the elves.
Crafting in Skyrim and its predecessors wasn't all that spectacular. I'm hoping it will be there, but I am also hoping they keep weapons and armor as they are in the other games. I don't want to see armor with 5 or 6 bonus enhancements that is a super rare from some big boss. I want the game to be more skill based and have maybe 1 or 2 magical properties for each piece of armor or weapon. This game definitely is a game to watch, but other than maybe a little bit more open world, and the Planetside-like PVP where you capture strongholds in Cyrodiil(sp?), I really don't see it offering anything different from Neverwinter, which is going to be free to play. You build your character as it levels up, you get a handful of abilities and an ultimate... Here's to hoping this one wont hold a subscription... which is doubtful, because I believe they are spending lots of money on making this, especially since they made their own engine.
I think a good place to start looking or watching is the Tamriel Foundry. Tamriel Foundry: Mechanics, Theorycrafting, Guides, and Discussion for The Elder Scrolls Online
I am also very exited about this game. Little worried about how the mega server is going to handle lag for us Aussies, but other than that can't wait to roll a orc and break some faces!
TBH, they can do the megaserver thing, but, it sure would be nice if they could locate 1 server in the APAC region, 1 server in NA, and 1 server in EU.
Aye, I know. But for me to get into this game, it needs something a little bit extra. Crafting might be it for me, depending on how they do it. It's a pretty looking game, but it's still quite likely to become a very standard fantasy MMO.
I`ll hve a look i am not well versed in the lore of the elder scrolls however using a joystick to play this mmo has me very interested, theres nothing like sitting on the couch and playing computer games
