I got in this last weekend. My toons will always end up with a surname of Numbwit, regardless what their first names become. Currently Elondra and Dolnor are there. TQQdles™
My time was limited due to a the Zumba conference in Yokohama, Japan but one thing is for sure. Back on Skyrim to finish it to prep for TESO.
If I was selected to beta test, I probably wouldn't tell anyone because all my friends.. ya'know. But lets just say I am currently anxiously awaiting the final product.
Hi Guys, I applied for the closed beta 9 months ago. I did get in for the last beta weekend as my 1st invitation. As always in any game I'm in I use my forum name for my first toon.
Fyi, you're not actually supposed to announce that you're in the beta or anything about the game according to their current NDA for beta testing. Just be careful guys =D
Yet all over their forums they actually say it's ok to state you're in the beta. Yes they've had moderators and admin chime in on this time and again. It's basically a line in their NDA that they're not making any plans to enforce unless it becomes a big problem.
Good heads up Phear, but like Thymos said, and on page 22 of this thread - you can say that you're in the beta, but nothing beyond that. Hopefully people will adhere to that, which I'm sure they will. Game on!
I would think that to almost be necessary to test the beta. If someone were to get in, the best way to test the friend features is to let your friends know that you got in. If you couldn't, then it would likely reduce the number of people grouping for content, people forming guilds, etc.
Beta Invites - Elder Scrolls Online General Discussion - Bethesda Softworks Forums That's from their admin.
I hope all you beta people are getting ready to write up your review after the NDA is lifted....because I'm really keen to hear your thoughts on it
I look forward to a game that values the crafter. Currently - by public info shared (no NDA violation here) it appears the crafter is pigeon holed with a guild to successfully advance. I hope this receives more public clarity to better understand the mechanics behind the productive crafter and economy. Otherwise what has been publicly revealed - fighting wise, it looks to be an enjoyable game.
I think you can craft even if you don't belong to any guilds. My understanding is that auction houses will be tied to guilds, with each guild running their own AH. So you still should be able to solo craft, but buying/selling mats & crafted items will be more difficult without a guild. I also think we can be in multiple guilds. If that is correct I expect to see some massive guilds forming in each alliance who's primary goal will be auction houses. That is my hope at least, otherwise the economy will consist of tiny, mostly harmless varmints compared to other MMOs' robust economy elite mobs.
I must say that I am really hanging out to play this. I finished up with GW2 and I have been waiting for something new. I even reinstalled Skyrim on my Windows Mac partition to get my fix. Love the their/ranger combo. Hopefully the RND() will work on our favour soon.
Hmmm that would be interesting - multiple guilds. I do believe it would be nice though for a PvE location for guild crafters to sell their wares. PvP keeps is asking for trouble - JMHO.
