What I meant was while they might be on different servers they would also have to be on a completely different software because the reward systems would be different. Then there would be the hassles of developing for the 2 different systems.

I've recently learned that guilds will be account based and not faction locked, meaning I can be in the game Guild as a elf while playing my orc. The down side of this is guild's will never see each other in the pvp part of the game to avoid exploits. Any ideas on how tog might deal with this? It's cool to have us all in one Guild but... I do like killing tog people to. It's fun to see a fellow tog in the world and wave before trying to murder them.

Anyone else have thoughts about this?

A lot of this will come down to guild member caps. If there are none I can imagine us all been in one guild with no troubles. If guild numbers are capped then it may make sense to have one guild for each faction.

I'm not sure if I understand this, in the RvR in Cyrodil will they not see each other as enemies?

One would think that if you are a wood elf in an Ebonheart guild, you would fight for that guild and fraction in RVR.

Or if I was a Nord questing in Aldmeri Dominion, I could slay the elves there when I run into them.

And If I had a wood eld in my guild and in my party questing with me he could slay them as well.

From what I have read I think we will be kept in a different campaign so we won't see each other at all.

It's a strange system that they did try to explain once ( i'm not sure i understand it yet).
Because there using mega servers the system is supposed to be set up so that if it sees two people from separate factions in the same guild it won't put the two of you in the same PvP instance ( I think that's how it works )

If the game supports a gamepad on the PC, I will definitely get it on PC as I can easily hook it up to the TV, but as it stands right now, I'll most likely get it for PS4.

For the past few months, I've really enjoyed listening to the webcasts at ShoddyCast.com. They cover weekly ESO news or topics of discussion on Fridays. They also have a good lore series and new storytime series that I wouldn't miss! Being new to TES, it's really helped me get up to speed. And, I'm now playing Skyrim and Oblivion on xbox until ESO comes out next year...

    @Euchara,

Welcome to The Elder Scrolls, it's really another world and one that continuously grows and immerses you in new ways on a day to day basis.

If you have a PC, I'd strongly suggest getting TES3 - Morrowind, and it's two associated expansions (Tribunal & Bloodmoon).
To me (and many others) it's still the best Elder Scrolls out there.

I'm looking forward to what TESO will bring, and to be able to play with friends in the wonderful Elder Scrolls universe. As for single player TES games, I can't help but compare it to Morrowind... and so far Morrowind beats everything hands down.

Also, the PC versions have a very strong community of developers that create fantastic add-ons. Not sure about the so console counterparts though.

    Anyhows, have a good one!

I don't know if I hold one above the others... Morrowind had its backdrops. Accidentally killing a needed character and losing a lot of quests, or even just having them die by their own accord, if monsters or enemies spawned near them. The dice roll for hits, which really sucks at the beginning, swing swing swing, miss miss miss, no more stamina, run away!

But that's about all I have against Morrowind. I think Skyrim made attacking too easy, though.

The thunder stealing competition is on next 24 hours.
We have SOE live with there EQN announcement and so as not to have all there thunder stolen ESO is doing a live play at Quakecon.

I love watching game company's fighting for my attention, it's like two dogs fighting over a bone.

I haven't played Skyrim or any other Elder Scrolls series but I am looking forward to play Elder Scrolls Online just like everyone else. The videos I have seen doesn't seem have any "gore" so it looks like we will be fighting without any blood or effects when you attack. I know some games have the ability in the Game options to turn on or off blood.

Remember there still beta vids, can't remember how much blood was in older elder scrolls been awhile but skyrim after a melee attack you would have blood dripping down your sword, you also got to see some awesome scenes of you doing some pretty gorey stuff like chopping heads of slitting throats etc, so would assume it will be in game or a option at least.
