I've played some multiplayer and will again soon to give it another shot, I found the movement slow and a bit clunky.

Interestingly I read a review of the game when it was still in Alpha, and even then the review said it was slow and awkward.. they said they would fix it :?

Those of you playing Far Cry 3, make sure you get some friends and do some coop. Good gaming.

My Far Cry 3 doesn't seem to work through Steam. I bought on DVD and it plays through uplay. When starting from Steam does it goto game or uplay?

    Goes into uplay.

Edit: Does that mean we have to be uplay friends?

Enjoying this game immensely in single player. Can't play co-op with a friend though, never able to connect. I can play public co-op though.

I also found an interesting bug in single player, where if you zipline near the bottom of a broken powerline near the ground, it will zipline you underground, falling into water. (Found only in one place, not really tried anywhere else) You can swim around, look up at cars driving past, trees etc. There are water areas and if you swim out of that block you freefall forever, then if you deploy wingsuit you immediately die. Interesting to see what goes on under the map.

    Cheers,
    Max

Do you have to have 4 players to play FC3 co-op or does it work with 2? I tried to get into it and it looked like it needed 4.

Coop can be played with 2 players, but in some spots it is very very hard to complete with only 2 in coop, with the p2p multi play, all games are going p2p and dedicated servers is a thing of the past, i havent seen dedicated servers since call of duty 4 modern warefare and black ops 1, since then it has been p2p this is a cost saving for them.

^^ DayZ, CS: GO, BC2, Medal of Honor Warfighter, Age of Chivalry, Crysis 3 (pre-order now) and BO2 ( even though they're a bit of a "manked" version of dedi's)

I seriously hope they do not become a thing of the past.

I had fun with this one, the game play is quite entertaining.

That being said, it has some bumps along the way.
    The UI is a disaster.
UPlay is annoying (why yes; it's an excellent idea to try to compete with steam, and useful to the community, too!).
Co-op is hard to get working properly, has small play areas, and it's indeed difficult in some spots with 2 people, even on Casual setting.
Quicktime events went out shortly after they came in with Dragons Lair, so stop freakin' using them!
The plot and characters are frequently not very believable.

Honestly, though, it's still a good game. I'd rather they screw up all the non-game play stuff and get the mechanics right (aside from the quicktime crap) than the other way around. I'd recommend this one, just not at full price.

Instead of using "Invite Friend", try "Invite to Party", then see if you can join their game. That usually works for a friend and I when Invite Friend randomly stops working.
