I think we all had one, that fame that you just wanted to play again and again. There are a few I remember I think Bubble bobble was my first one on the C64 but my first most addicting games where - It came from the desert (was freaky but good) - Rocket Ranger - Wings (okay so it went from one to about four hehe but once I thought of one all these others popped up)
Probably the two most addictive games I've played... Diablo and Final Fantasy VII... those two games each ate large chunks of my younger years
A game on the C64 where you had a bouncy-ball and had to navigate a scrolling terrain and obstacles, I can't think of the name of the game though >.< Winter Games and Frogger were also right up there.
Oh hell yes, on the SNES I think it was... that game was awesome fun I did lose a big chunk of time to fallout 1 and 2 as well
Halls of the Things on Spectrum - I dont think I've ever been so addicted to a game (I was pretty young....).
Yeah sounds like Marble Madness or maybe Wizball? I'm not sure which came first for me. Dungeon Master or Civilisation. Both of those just filled my every waking moment... From the release dates I guess it was DM first!
Aha I worked it out, the game I couldn't think of was Bounder - it was incredibly addictive!! Civilisation is still an old favourite - oh and Transport Tycoon, I still give that a run every now and again!
Pirates Cove and Adventure Island on the Vic 20 and Zelda II: The Adventure of Link on the NES. That's not to say i am not able to spend a lot of time playing games still, DooM, Command & Conquer got me into PC gaming and i have put in over 3000 hours on Guild Wars.
The Settlers was really the first game i can remember where i would lose hours without really realizing it. Then came along C&C and Red Alert. I did play transport tycoon a lot as well also. That said i did spend many many hours playing Sensible Soccer. Think i just played games too much back then Nothing can stand up against the time i put into Diablo II though, that would be on another level.
I think I played a few (hundred) games of that on Spectrum Aah, I'd love to have the enthusiasm for games I had back then - bloody kids now dont know how good they have it.
I remember that game I think they called it IK+ when I played it hehe I managed to get an emulator and pick it up for Amiga.
On the Atari - Pacman On the C128 (I went pro even back then) - Elite On the PC - Sadly it have to be WoW - considering I spent 3.5 frikken years playing that stupid game. Can't think of another PC game that I've played nearly anywhere that long.
The Atari was definetly Pitfall and Kaboom C64 I played a game alot called pirates cove The computer defintely EQ but before that I played The Bard's Tale and I still think I have some graph paper maps for that somewhere
Oh the hours these stole from me! Pool of Radiance - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eye_of_the_Beholder_(video_game)
