Errrrm.....I may have just messed myself......
TV missiles are back. This is the weapon of choice, to use on the 10's of noobs, waiting to get into Jet and Heli on enemy side. A very enjoyable site to place TV in the middle of the lot, just standing still with "E" pressed. Scares the sh*t out of them and such enjoyment to watch them all go flying into the air. Kill factor, 1 TV = 8 noobs.
woohoo canister shot! Think of it as a big shot gun round for the main gun on a tank, imagine the buildings you can clear with one of those!
That would look pretty cool to get so many kills from the one missile. Only problem with that scenario, is that it would be considered spawn camping.
The nubs lining up for the plane deserve to be camped!
Im looking forward to the customizable jets and hellies, kit them out to what you need.
PWNED #10-3 | GamesCom | FIFA 12, SSX, Star Wars: The Old Republic plus 64 player Battlefield 3 - YouTube
BF3 section starts at 10:05
To celebrate being named the best game at GamesCom, the Battlefield team will return to EA’s community lounge for one final live broadcast on Saturday, August 20th at 11:30am CET / 5:30 am ET / 2:30am PT to show off a brand-new video of BF3 co-op play.
Interviewing in the middle of a 64 player session and the only game footage we got to see was 1/10th of the top of someone's screen. :bigcry:
I don't think I'd seen the chopper strafing infantry in the river though.
7 hour wait to play and BF3 sweeping best game awards wherever it's shown. Bodes well.
The popularity of Battlefield 3 is enormous it made MW3 look like a tiny small game.
7 hour standing in line for battlefield 3.
3 hours standing in line for MW3, if this is an indication then MW3 has stopped being King of the Hill.
Off topic: another game that is going to be enormous is Star wars the old republic.
6 hours standing in line.
I think that half of the people came for bf3 and the other half for star wars the old republic.
Those 2 games are going to break record sales, the next big thing that is going to hit the games world will be Diablo 3 in 2012 mark my words.
I was online for the last 15 minutes or so of the live chat. Didn't get anything that's not been publicized in the press since then.
The questions I asked were:
any MEC? Wont we need them in Karkand and Sharqui?
no, these maps will be US+Russia fighting
Will we have to use Origin to access battlelog?
you can do that, but you can also just use your browser
It was hard work because German is not my native tongue, but there is another live chat in English tomorrow (today?) at the same time.
Cybersports tends to indicate a battlerecorder hopefully
Yeah, apparently BR will be in but possibly not on release day. They really want to focus on e-sports this time around. No word on whether it will have a rewind function yet.
summary so far
Focus on e-sports is smart. Increased focus on the product and if it's e-sports friendly, increased sales.
I want me a 60mm mortar.
BF3 Team Deathmatch only supports 24 players on all platforms - Battlefield 3
good to hear choppers have no auto-hover and they are bringing back the littlebird - great combination for some aerial jinx
I'm wondering if there will be a few versions of each map - Conquest, Rush and Deathmatch or Deathmatch will share with Rush. If the latter is the case, potentially there could be ~27 different Deathmatch map configurations...?
No public server files, reason is DICE’ anticheat strategy
Hrmm... wonder what this means for local servers...
No real impact since ranked servers are available in aus as per BC2.

Twitter Revelations from Demize - Electronic Arts UK Community
a few interesting ones i noticed, many in that thread.
Seems like a good balance to me, should mean Chewy and friends will stop crapping everywhere and be a bit more selective where they do do-do's.
okay that's not a direct quote
