for all the original backers it was super-easy... Rhinzler sent me funds via Paypal. I logged into RSI website and purchased the ship he wanted and used my paypal balance. Once the transaction was complete I clicked on the "gift" button and entered his RSI account name. The entire thing only took a few minutes and it showed up on his profile right away.

Not sure if you can gift money. If you get stuck you can send it to my paypal and which package you want and I will purchase it and gift it to you.
You cant gift cash.. you can buy something worth 100 and gift that to someone, have them melt it, and repurchase something else with the credit. Or use paypal to send money to someone, who can then use that paypal credit to purchase on your behalf. Afterwards they can gift the item to you. PM anyone who is an original backer and we can get you a paypal account to send to, All we need from you is the money, which package you want, and your RSI account to gift the package to.
I would rather suggest to go through the paypal option as the melting could be seen as circumventing the developer's intent.
