Where did the time go? Seems like yesterday I was just at a machine keypunching cards, and waiting in line to get access to a distant computer to compile my programs.

I miss online gaming with a clan.

Useless in a fight. Slow reflexes and even slower eyesight.

I like to build. I like the grind. I like to explore.

Congratulations! You have past our stringent don't die before 25 application requirement and have made it into TOG.

Keep in mind there is more here than the division for that flaky game you have signed up for. There are other flaky games which all have their own division and other things of wonder, joy and wtf.

Public Forums (Philistines only or less then 25. Same thing)
Member Forums (General chat, cat videos, VR, laboratories, Steam and Discord invites)
Member News (If you have a mind like mine you just laughed)
Simulation and Sports Divisions (This is for simulation and sports games!)
Strategy, RPG and other Games (This is for err... Strategy, RPG and other Games)
FPS (Brutal and horrific death. Lots of fun!)
MMORPG (Also brutal and horrific death but sometimes ponies)
Operations (The name you picked is stupid and you want to change it? Policies and stuff)

Welcome to TOG RosieBlock, Computer punch cards were also good as projectiles if you folded them right and had a good sized rubber band :p

A little bit like ninja origami, but with a nasty after effect.... especially on the back of the leg. :D

I was well beyond such unbecoming horseplay.

    NOT!

I remember a teacher dropped his entire tray of cards for a project and he had not bothered to number them sequentially to allow Mechanical sorting. Ha. Ha. Ha. We watched him pick them up and tried not to laugh. Not even rubber banded together...

I used IBM 029 keypunch machines in high school...I was part of the paid students to keep daily attendance records. Each teacher turned in their cards except the students that were absent. Eventually we got their "buffered" version where you would type everything in and could correct mistakes before pressing the "punch" button. And we had a 96-column square punch card machine that, if you bowed a card at the exit side, you could fling cards across the room like a thrown playing card. Great fun!
