woo-hoo. I finally finished HL2: Ep 2 tonight. Don't know how many times I played the last part and died, died, died. But I really need to clean out some hd space for all the stuff I bought in the steam sale. No greater incentive.

I loved hl2 and ep1 and ep2. give me more!

Take a number! Of course you do realise that the pent-up anticipation for EP3 is going to mean it's almost guaranteed to be a let-down, right? ;)

looking at it from the drunken 1am point of view, it is too long since episode 2 came out, so surely they won't release an episode 3, rather HL3?

    Or maybe not?

Maybe it is time for something new?

Episode 3 has to be done. They've introduced the portal gun, in Portal. And they've indicated Apeture Laboratories In ep 2. Gordan has to receive/retrieve the Portal Gun.

This has been around for a while now. After login, try:

    INTERROGATE
    INTERROGATE GORDON
    TAPEDISK
    THECAKEISALIE
    APPLY
    UID

p.s. You can't actually type in your UIN at the end of the "Application" because the UIN has lower case characters and it says to type it in with the exact case, but you can only input uppercase characters.

Make sure you do Apply last. It is a long and involved process of application into the enrichement center.

Does this mean that if I bought HL2 with the Orange box I will have a better engine than the people who bought it when it was originally released?

    In short - no.

From memory, only TF2, Portal and HL2:EP2 in the Orange Box actually used the Orange Box Engine - HL2:EP1 and HL2 used older versions of the Source Engine.

DOD:S was released using an older version of the Source Engine, but has since been upgraded to the same Orange Box Engine as TF2.

Well I was gifted HL2 &HL2 Episode 1and I like em. I dont go for the horror'ish' genre but just finished HL2E1and yeah im impressed. it was a good story and I had to slow down from the usual FPS to find out what the story wanted me to do and enjoy it as a story.

GG and thanks for the gift :)

If you liked 'em and enjoyed the story, you really should get HL2:EP2 and continue the adventure... :)

Why not buy the Orange box and pay it forward. Everyone needs to know portal.

The symbol for a kill with a grav-gun flung object is a fast moving toilet.
