    hey all,

i have just plugged the ps3 back in after a long lay off, and of course it wants me to re-set the password,
this would normally be an easy fix, BUT
the email i used has been blocked for spamming, obviously not me but someone has seemingly hijacked it,
i cannot get the email re-activated cause it was over 10 years ago when i created it, and i have no idea what the info they want to verify is anymore,

so now sony has sent me a reactivation password email to an email address i cant access anymore,

does anyone know if i can change my psn account over to a new email?
(without access to the old one)

or even if i can delete the whole kit and caboodle and start again

cheers and thanks in advance for any help

If you're not worried too much about having to start again, do just that. Make a new account. It's free :)

    thanks X4,

i think that might be the easiest route,
i've only got gt5 atm do you know if i'll lose all my progress?
not that it really matters, will give me something else to play for a while lol:D

    cheers

Interesting question. I'd say that you'll still have all your progress in the game, as that is saved to the login for the PS3 when you start up the machine. I guess when you make the new PSN account in your login, you'll get the trophies assigned again... not sure.

You could ring them and explain the situation. They might be able to confirm some details over the phone and then reactivate the account for you.

It's worth a try and a phone call at least.
