    Nice new boards

Just to continue on from our current conversation...

Been trying to log onto CG boards and have been unable to gain access to the site.

All of GA seems to be down atm.

I guess that if the booking are still working, then they are on patch 1.3. We'll try to get everyone updated by Thursday.

With the ladder temporarily shut down, this means we can happily devote time to Coral Sea for you guys. We'll still interleave with a map for us too, likely candidate is Kharkov.

Interest levels are around 7 or so, this will likely go up to close on a full team before tomorrow night.

We now have 11 confirmed, 1 reserve so we've certainly got enough to play.

Still deciding on another map to play along with Coral Sea, will let you know tomorrow night :)

    Bwar!

    Whatever you want.

How do you guys like the 1.3 patch?

At the risk of sounding like a whinger, I'd like to return it and get my Download back. What a joke. Yeah, it's great if you're a pilot but I didn't last 2 seconds as an engineer in coral sea yesterday

Yes as a pilot I like the changes as it is very hard to get shot down. You wouldn't want to be walking in the open if planes are around though.

The gun sounds they changed do sound good though :)

:( Really sorry guys. I feel like I've let you down after you've agreed to come to a scrim with us. We have a guy in the clan that swore he had the map change thing worked out and that's why I thought we were going to be ok.

    Switch it around...

    :D
I'm really glad that we had a chance to work together. I think we're very equal in skill etc and really want to work with you guys in the future. In AUS, I'm the Marine division commander and you guys can come to our Thursday practices whenever you want.

Just let me know when you want to have that next scrim on the map of your choice.

Good prac. Had a good time.

I think what ghostdog was saying your admin password has to be five characters or less?.....

Actually, I think I got that wrong. I think it's 6 chars, and it can't contain any numbers....

Thanks for the invite Straka, things happen like that on occasion. I think by the end we were pretty much over Coral Sea ;)

Not sure why people kept getting kicked, looks like yet another wonderful issue with 1.3.

We will definitely scrim again soon, we'll pick a map and go again (We might organise the server next time, and make the admin password available to all players).

Cailith, I think that's a "feature" with 1.3, not a problem. It auto-kicks TK'ers after they've done a certain number of Team Kills. I'd have to check the readme, but I believe you can disable the feature, or the players in the team can vote to 'forgive' a player so they don't get kicked.... or something like that.

Hmm, in that case it's definitely buggy then coz I think it was Voyager (might have been Scope) got booted when they had a score of 16.

I can clear this up for you with some exact figures, Voyager, since I have screenies of the scores... and you were more than giving me a run for my money :)

I was only paying attention in two of the games, the rest of the time I was farting about or trying to change the map.

In the first game, we were Axis, they were Allies. We actually ran out of time on this map (30 minute limit). They won by a narrow margin, 3 pts to TOG, 15 to AUS.

Jafo*AUS* was the top score, with 21 points. He had 23 kills. Thankfully, he's not confirmed as a better pilot than us :D - he was manning AA on the Allied Carrier for a large portion of the game.

I got 20 points, with 22 kills. Mostly from a Zero, strafing underneath their Carrier deck or taking out SBDs. 1 TK for me. You got 14 points, with 24 kiils - so thats 5 TKs (Yep, 5...count 'em all, you TKing whore!! :D ). You would have got gold if you hadn't have been so reckless. :)

In game 2, we were Allied, and we won 20 - 0. We were having quite a battle for top spot in this one. I ended up with 19 points, 19 kills (that would be no TKs :D ). You got booted at 16 kills (I'm guessing 6 TKs would get you kicked). When you came back in, you got another 2 for a sum total of 18... although no doubt in the time you lost disconnected, you could have easily got another one or two.

But why am I posting all this crap??? Individual scores are meaningless in BF 1942. Whoever repaired our carrier long enough to keep us in the air deserves the praise...
