Because a big hand will reach over from behind your monitor and slap you up the head, that's why.

Not sure if its the same in BF1492, but in SOF2 cross-hairs go red if you point your weapon at team members. Kind of a clue not to shoot at that moment ... (although if you throw the grenade round the corner, you get no warning you are about to blow your team up).

Suppose with battle field you have more people on the teams, so a few 'friendly fire' incidents wouldn't be so noticable.

Anyway, back on topic, welcome CP.

Seeing a B17 swooping low over the terrain, and then hell unleashed in the form of 8 large bombs carpeting a wide area, followed by the messages:
    TOG|Bennett is no more.
    TOG|Cailith killed a teammate.

Coming up on the screen is reasonably noticeable :D

Excuse me EnglishBob, but I'm the primary captain of the team, GD is backup captain.

    I stand corrected :)

What I meant about TK'ing in BF1492 is that with 12 people it wouldn't matter so much if you lost a couple through errant B17 bombing .... plenty more to carry on with

Hmm, you seem to have the same attitude towards this as our primary Captain. :p :D

Looks good to me - 3 enemy kills, 1 team kill. +3, -2 on the ticket count. Works for me ;)

Besides, Bennett is like a magnet for my bombs when I'm piloting the B17. :p

Yep, even when he's playing SOF:2, your B17 bombs get him :)

Very sorry about the thread hijack, by the way - you are still welcome, Corp. Punishment :)

Welcome aboard Corp, the SOF2 division is relatively small and we are always looking for members. Head over to the SOF2 forum and check out the latest events.

The current captain is Rickety and he has organised a stack-a-pub for 8:30pm tonight. Drop by and say hello.

We have a ladder match against ClanFist tomorrow night. Depending on the numbers, I might make an appearance as a sniper-on-dialup and watch me zipping across your screen.

PS we are safe from TK because Cailith doesnt play SOF2

.. and there was me thinking those random explosions that were wiping out half our team were from poorly timed grenades. Next time it happens I'll have to point the AK47 upwards and strafe GD / Cailiths underside :D

One of the reasons why TOG is so fun.

There's so much jest. We TK each other, it's unintentional, or if it is, then its still all in good fun. :D

Oh, and Cailith has TK'd me many a time. Though, I do remember TKing him. I was lying prone on the ground sniper scope up all ready to take out the enemy sitting in the machine gun on a tank. Had his head lined up and was just squeezing the trigger when Cailith's bloody head pops in front of the bullet and the enemy!

My first, and as yet only ever one shot kill in BF...

It was bloody after you shot it anyway. And don't make it bloody sound like I've TK'd you more than me. I'd say it's pretty even. I seem to remember someone in the battleship on Wake bombing the crap outta the airfield, without looking to see that it had turned Allied :)

Then again, who could forget my awesome bombing run on Iwo Jima that time taking out two tanks in one shot in the bomber - Fox and Grim were in them from memory

    ROFL Cailith.

That's just reminded me on a TK I did on GhostDog in Iwo Jima.

I was in the battleship shelling the island and luckily enough, GhostDog in an airplane at the time was flying near the southern mountain as I was shelling it.

A fighter plane doesn't last too long against a battleship shell. As in... it doesn't last at all!

I do remember though, I apologised to GD immediately.

Then I remembered on Wake against AEF2. I was in the destroyer, this time I shot the enemy out of the sky with the destroyer's shells. That certainly wasn't a TK. :)

Move the TK experiences to another thread and stop spamming this one, or I will TK both of you.

No Mad, you're not understanding our bent to this thread. We're still on topic. TK's show that we care. So we're welcoming Corp Punishment with open arms and describing how much we're intending to care for him while he is a member of TOG. :D

    Yep, remember that well :)
I heard the guns go off on the ship, and a second later I instantly exploded (plane was at full health too). I thought ".... no way!!?! ". Then I saw from the messages that you had TK'd me from nearly half a map away and thought "...yes way :( "

Well, I didn't blame you :) I would be mightily impressed if you had intended to shoot me down with a battleship shell :D
