Yes, it's almost here! 8O To find what time it will be released in YOUR part of the world, click this link.

Or, if you just can't bear to work out the time remaining...

    :D

For those around the world who will be staying up to play, I suggest we organise an HL2 Release Party! Grab a channel on Venty and get started playing the game, maybe the next best thing to co-op mode  For me, it'll be 9 PM Tuesday.

    Bastard

I don't think they'd DARE push the release date back again, the Valve offices would be burned to the ground, the occupants lynched!

Don't forget to finish your preload ahead of time... god knows there'll probably be an update to grab before we can actually play the game

I would rather they pushed it back again - so that the product was good, rather than releasing ANOTHER crap product.

Well they've had an extra 13 months of work added to their original project plan... I hope they've ironed out all the bugs in that time. :)

No dude, you really don't. Think about it

(You probably already did, but I'll bite in any case )

The whole idea of a simultaneous release is actually kind of cool. It's like Dr Who running around in the Tardis delivering HL2, going further and further forward into the future while actually it's the same time all along.

Wow, that was geeky. Quick, let's talk about beer and cars!!!

Actually with Queensland being 20 years behind the rest of Australia, you'll be waiting a bit longer...

Steam is Valve's software delivery/news/chat/server explorer etc. application. www.steampowered.com ...you can purchase HL2 through Steam but it requires a 4GB+ pre-cache.

The question should be, "Is there a single valid reason not to purchase HL2?". :)
