I don't recall whether console though an example that stems beyond console games - Steam games are region locked.
Just pre-ordered the standard edition for me. I couldn't justify an extra $30 for essentially, a mount ...
Just an FYI From Steam: Not saying this is your intent or those in AU... it does though present "geographical restrictions"... and steam does not sell console games... as yet. Hopefully for those attempting to save a few bucks they run into the same success as you.
Imperial Ed here! EB games rang me re updating my preorder...great service as i was down coast and not able to get in to store
Got the Digital Imperial Edition myself. No codes in the mail but did get a verification that my purchase was succesful. Checked my account and it all shows up just fine. I'm a happy gamer
Actually what sold it for me was the ability to play an Imperial. So besides the mount you also get an extra race to choose from.
Just ordered Digital Imperial Edition through Gamefly (already had an account and used code GFDJAN25) which saved me $20. I think through Gamefly only good for Canada and USA.
not sure if this would prevent your account getting banned on steam - but the Aussie government suggests people bypass geoblocking (first link I found when googleing it) Australian Government recommending bypass of geo locks - Steam Users' Forums
Wife looked at it and now we're probably going to get her the digital imperial edition, as we don't need 2 statues and books. This means TOG may be getting a new member soon.
That code still available or just for Jan 25? I may jump on that digital copy imperial version w/ $20 discount...
Yup, I got the dig imp edition too. Here is what worries me. The email I got said we will have the digital rewards when we log in at official launch day and the explorer pack that comes with the purchase says we can play any race in any alliance. My concern is we will not have the ability to utilize the explorer's pack during the 5 day head start, which means I have to remake my character at official launch day if I wanted to play a race that is not part of the alliance we are in? I hope this is not the case.
If you purchase the game from a source that is not steam then you shouldn't have an issue, Value/Steam will have no knowledge of your ESO account details. I am not even sure if you can purchase the game through steam? Cheers
