    Greetings All!

First, let me introduce myself... I am Gary, a 63 year old retiree from a small town in SouthEast Arizona. I guess you could say I'm an avid gamer, at least thats what my old bod screams at me after a weekend long gaming experience. Its been a while since I pulled a 48 hour stint, but have done it more times than I care to remember :)

I'm a neighbor of Oldskool's and his wifey was the first to tell my wife and I about TOG. I had belonged to a group of older gamers in Ultima Online last century, I think we called the guild "The Old Farts", and had a ton of fun playing with contemporaries.

Actually, this is my second submission, as I had received a response from Father after my initial application, but some health things got in the way and I never completed the application. The wife and I had a chat with Oldskool and his wifey today and finally solved why I could not get in to read any of the member forums. :)

Anyway, to satisfy the requirements, I have read the AUP and FAQ and and am definately over 25 years of age. Geez, I can't even remember that far back!

A quick sketch of my gaming adventures ... It all started when a young clerk sold me a copy of Diablo when it first came out. Never in my wildest dreams would I have guessed I would be so completely and utterly hooked. My fishing/hunting/camping/hiking habits were flushed down the Loo within the week! Dang that was a fun game! The first time my group took down the old buzzard Diablo I suspect my wife seriously contemplated seeking some professional help for me! :) I moved over to Ultima Online when it was released and stayed there until Everquest came along. I was picked for the EQ beta and stayed with that game until the Beta for the Dark Age of Camelot. Did a beta tour with Anarchy Online and had a quick plunge into Diablo 2, and then recently returned to EQ after hearing about EQ2. I will probably stay in the EQ/EQ2 world for the foreseeable future. I say that because every time I comment on a new game in development, the wife goes into the computer room and does an inventory of all the SWG, FFXI, BG boxes collecting dust.

I am looking forward to gaming with you all, and look for me in EQ2 as a Barb Shaman. (Once a Barb, always a Barb!)

    Cheers! Gary,

    aka Cactus

Hey Cactus, glad we got you all squared away :) Well your all in oder here, so as soon as one of the admins see's your post, they will wave the magic TOG wand over your application, and your private forums woe's will be all over.

Head over to the EQ2 forums when you get all taken care of, and there are some threads there you might find of intrest, and definetly look for the charecter thread stickey'd at the top of the forum, you can put your Bard Sham in there so we can keep track of that as well.

Glad to have you aboard, and welcome to TOG, and un-offically the Southern AZ Chapter :)

    G'day mate. Welcome to TOG.

It looks like your application is in good order, so when the admin weenies get around to it, they'll wave the weenie wand of wonder over you to give you access to the private forums.

When you get access, head on into the Lounge and have a gander at some of the bio's of your new mates in the Penpal thread. Leave a bit more about yourself if you want. There's no obligation to do so however.

Check out the stickies of the games you're interested in, and you will get information on who to contact, what additional software you may find useful, where any TOG servers for that game are, hints, tips and tricks and lots of other goodies.

If you get into trouble, shout out to oldskool (if he's close enough :)) or put a post up. Someone is more than willing to give you a hand.
