That is awesome. I have to ask, how do you plan your projects? Do you have some sort of voxel editor? Just incredible.
I thought it was a strange construction (especially the rear and the wierd antennas) until I saw it was some sort of flying submarine on other youtube clips Reminds me of a Futurama episode The Deep South when their delivery ship sinks in the ocean after a Bender-related fishing incident: Professor Hubert Farnsworth: Good Lord! That's over 5000 atmospheres of pressure! Fry: How many atmospheres can the ship withstand? Professor Hubert Farnsworth: Well, it was built for space travel, so anywhere between zero and one. ...indicating how utterly useless a spaceship would actually be under water
I believe that the whole thing about the Yamato was that it was originally sunk by the Allies during WWII but when the aliens attacked the earth, it was recovered and modified to be the basis for the earth flagship. So it was sunk first, then became a spaceship. Sorontar, who as a child modified his Lego people so they looked like the crew members of the Yamato who has the American release, Star Blazers, on VHS who is now *definitely* putting the Phoenix from Gatchaman/Battle of the Planets/G-Force on his "Things to make in Minecraft" list.
The original yamato was one of the only three super battleships ever built. Japan built two and Germany built one. The Bismark. In the series aliens had done so much damage to earth there was no oceans left. They built this spaceship into the old remains of the real yamato so the aliens wouldn't catch on. Was a last desperate mission to save the dying earth. I go free hand. All I did was some alt tabbing to make sure I was close. But no program or anything. Went out placed the first gun turret and scaled it off that. I was worried I'd run into the sky road but got lucky. Someones tribute video: In fact a new movie was just made that came out in Japan last year using live action and modern SFX: wtb soon please
I think that mod must have had kids on its design committee. Either that , or the designer was eating too many of the green donuts. I liked the cloud effect for combat.
Finite water and some infinite aspects (around 3:55). Warning: NSFW/Kids (language) Needless to say, you won't be seeing this on the TOG server.
