Guys can i have your opinion on buying a new graphics card? looking at nvidia GeForce
monitor it will be running?/resolution you want to run at?
case its going in?
your current power supply and wattage?
your current rest of pc?, cpu/mobo/ram/ssd/hdd's?
Titan: Kickass, very,very expensive
1080 kickass: very expensive $1000-$1150
1070 good performance, moderately expensive $650-$800
1060 reasonable performance, affordable $320-$470
Do you want to future proof your purchase? Upgrade the card now & your PC and/ or your display later? or just play BF1now?
Ok so budget is between 300-400
Monitor is a polyview v372 (old), resolution minimum at present.
Case is a Tsunami Dream
power supply is Highpower 875kw
cpu intel (R) Core (TM) i7-2600k firstname.lastname@example.orgGhz
hdd with 1T
Would like to play BF1 now but look to update computer if $$$'s are resonable
CRIKEY!! if you're getting bf1 you will want a new monitor to go with the new gpu:shock:
you have a reasonably good base there, the only things that might need upgrading, IMO, would be the power supply if its more than 5 yrs old,
maybe get another 8gb of RAM, or a newer kit of 16gb, do you know what motherboard you have?
what windows are you running? 7/8/10? 64bit?
heres some choices of gtx 1060's
you could go for the 1050Ti but IMO that'd be the absolute minimum you'd want for bf1
20% of futu eBay at the moment, gigabyte nvidia geforce gtx 1060 oc 3gb $279 shipped, I run a rx470 in bf1 with no issues, and this card is on par I believe, Acer predator gsync 27 inch for $940
After reading this thread I took a punt and thought i'd try a new gtx 680 to use in SLI.
I may try and sell mine and buy a GTX 1060. or maybe a GTX 1070
You got a 1080p 120Hz monitor Gav? If yes, then definitely save your money for a 1070, you will get awesome performance. If you don't have a 120Hz, might as well get a 1060 and you tweak it to get 60FPS.
