Read about you guys in PCGamer and cruised (or is it surfed?) over to the site. After reading the FAQ and user agreement, I popped another stool softner and sat down to address this domain of aging gamers.

I am among the most ancient of gamers. If the average age of TOG members is 31, then you may ask to use my AARP discounts when you travel. If my hardening arteries permits me to recall, 31 years ago I think my brother and I were in the middle of a game of D-Day from Avalon Hill being played on a beer soaked table in his apartment. He, of course, got crushed :)

In all seriousness, I am delighted at the prospect of interacting with gamers who are my peers as opposed to my children's peers. Such maturity will bring a welcome element to my favorite hobby (sssshh....don't let my wife hear that HGTV is NOT my favorite hobby).

My interests are primarily in MMORPG's. I played DAoC for over 2 years and have sampled SWG, SB, CoH, WWIIOL and AO. I hope the MMORPG division is looking to organize in some of the future titles. WoW, DnL and Dragon Empires are the titles I am anticipating.

Well, enough of my ramblings. I hear the nurse's shoes squeaking as she walks towards my room. That must mean its time for my vital sign readings to make sure I'm actually still alive.

Look forward to joining you....as long as approaching senile psychosis is not a disqualifier ;)

P.S. I forgot to mention that I am the poster-boy for fat finger typing.

    Welcome!

We definitely have groups of people jumping from MMo to MMO, mainly its because they forget which one they enjoy the most.

    Um..what was I saying?

G'day Handa. Welcome to TOG. :)

So.. how old are you? We have a couple of members nudging 70 - I think Claw in ET holds the current record, along with the comfy seat cushion that goes with it.

I've just made you a member, so you should now have access to the private forums. Take a wander around, and mind you don't trip over stuff that other TOGs have left lying on the ground. :)

Thank you all for the welcome. And thanks for the access as well Janus. I have a new lease on life now that I know my 51 years leaves me as a junior member of the TOG crew :D

I'm looking forward to getting to know many of you and learning some of that Aussie lingo.
