About a month ago I posted EA was giving away Dead Space. Since then more details have emerged about this gift.

It seems they are planning on giving away 1 free AAA game each month. The chance to grab Dead Space expires on May 8th when a new free game will be added in its stead. I'll update post with details then.

My decision to not buy any games in 2014 is paying off.

Not that I need a bigger backlog, but still....

Did I miss something? Was EA taken over by another company? Why are they being nice?

    I don't trust it.

Awesome find! I was just looking through forums at random seeing what's going on and found this.

Nope, they're just desperate to get people onto their failure of a distribution platform.

Ever since getting a year long sub to PS+, I've a long backlog of games to play on my Vita and PS3... and the inception of Humble Bundle has filled up my steam library.

I'm trying not to think too much on my Xbox 360 backlog.... I've yet to finish any game I've gotten with my Gold sub.

Edit: Oh, actually, I think I've played through World of Keflings. No DLC though.

At this point I'd put it ahead of Steam.

Steam is just bloated with crap.

:( I've owned that for ages, been waiting for PvZ2 to come out on PC and not just mobile devices (can't get the hang of using a tiny screen for it, and it also feels like it's difficulty has been tweaked to try to get in-app purchases)

PVZ2 has indeed been tweaked, but entirely doable with no in app purchases.

Even then you can "earn" most of the stuff by farming keys and that makes the game all too easy.

Surprised if it comes to PC as its designed for mobile.

BF3, you know that would be tempting... But i bought it at release and Origin was the reason i couldn't play it even in single player. And that's the reason i didn't buy Mass Effect 3, BF4 or any other games from EA since.

EA, you might have thought you were pretty funny when i paid all that money for BF3 and couldn't play the game. But because of that i will never buy another game that requires Origin.

Even free games are not worth the trouble. Because of your Origin spyware i had bought and installed a SSD drive to keep Origin from shuffling through my hard drives, that SSD drive was pulled from my computer, packaged back up in the box it came in and now sits on the shelf, never to be installed again.

Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.

Aye, I started Dust as well (after completing the World of Keflings DLC), but I've not come far. And now I have a Wii U that needs to be played as well...
