Um... I haven't been playing PS1... much...hoping to get into the beta.

I'm the only TOG still in game. LoTD is still about.

Sounds interesting. A bit if a reservation on the SOE aspect... though sure like the sounds of it. ESPECIALLY the three faction setting... Been drooling for another DAoC setting...

Used to play with an outfit you may have heard of back in the day:

If you squint, you can see me running around in that video under the handle, WingedNazgul. Would love to play with TOG in PS2.

I've been playing with Mandrake and Ripper. Good stuff. PS1 pop isn't terrible while people run through the free 45days. I think PS2 will be pretty fun and that TOG will have a chance to make a strong run.

    Quote of the night:

"I think TOG should specialize in whatever the Sunderer is... then we should dig out Basie and make him drive."

(for those of you who remember that fateful night when Basie killed an entire squad. "Let me see if I can get a bit closer to the base's walls" *BOOOOM!*)

PlanetSide 2: what we know so far | PC Gamer

This sure sounds like the fix many mmo enthusiests of the past have been waiting for.

Warrender, that video was darn awesome! Back when effective communication / structure was far and few in guilds/clans - It sure set apart those who won and those who lost.

Thanks for sharing! Anyone who played DAoC on the Guinevere server, Docoloth was a VVV leader of rvr raids... Simply leaves me jonsing for the next real rvr setting where intel wins!

    Great video!

We were talking about DAoC last night on mumble. Remember the gank squads of stealthers? A whole team of stealthed guys creeping around waiting to catch you alone.

You had to try and stay in the middle of the zerg or you were toast. Head on a swivel waiting to see if the guy next to you dropped. Charlie was out there and he was gonna get you!!!! So much fun:)

If they add more of the traditional MMO elements (crafting, skill/level unlocks, maybe even a quest/mission system to complete certain objectives) I would think about this game. I had a blast early in PS1 being a stealth hacker. I was evil with the knife. It was a blast get in and pick off targets of oppertunity.

Stealth, who needed stealth?! I remember 2 high Rankers rocking up and killing about 8 of us in the most slow, painful way you can imagine. Basically we were all chain CC'd and dps'd down one at a time by a tank / heals combo. lol.

PS1 is another one in my list of games people talk fondly of that I somehow managed to miss entirely. :(

I'm loving the trailers and info released on PS2 thus far and liking what I see. Three factions? Bring it on!

Is there a TOG presence in ps1? If not may be a good way to build a following and get our ducks in fun order... Also may help with beta entry as a community gamer org... :)

was shahmat way back when there were lots of server johari then markov
had alot of fun running with tog and lotd and now i am lotd
haven't loaded up ps in awhile as last time it was mostly chinese on chat
still i did alot of fun stuff for the platoons and squads
can't wait to roll them long convoys as nc march on the next base
or hacking a backdoor for a max rush
or cloaking in a anti-sniper roll
lots of fun in ps and i expect the same of a ps2 and looks like they are getting more in depth on the cert trees
only thing i'm wondering on now is the cash shop they intend to have hopefully it is for gear customizations like they say would hate to find gold ammo and such
