Hey, just installing this game and wanting to head into the TOG server. Is there a player list or such for using tags in game or we just free for all? And what is the player base like for Aussie time?
Definitely put your TAGs on.. Also join Teamspeak.. TOG Valley, which is located at the Small Rad Town as described on rustmap.net... We actively kill non TOG'ers and defend our area to the nth degree Updating the main info for the server soon though.
Right, thanks, [edit: worked out what I needed]... [edit: was outside Small Rad Town in my last reincarnation: thanks for finding me and not shooting first Melker!].... lot's of fun so far.
For members joining Rust Hey all, Exciting to see many new tog members in the game. Here are a few need to knows. 1> TOG have claimed the Rad town valley and town. Seek thee to this place of refuge. Help is at hand intrepid survivor. 2> Be in Teamspeak RUST channel. This will become more obvious once your in game. 3> Wear your TOG tags. Anyone not responding to a challenge in TS or seen without TOG tags is probably going to receive a shotgun to the face.. in some cases the back of your head. Things happen in an instant. Rust is not a friendly place. 4> Have fun. 5> First thing you need to do when you join is bang your rocks off against some trees or wood piles and look for GIANT pebbles in the fields. Once you have 10 wood and 8 stone make a rock hatchet. Find a pig...kill it.. skin it..build a fire and cook it. Then look for us. See you in game. Safe hunting. Melker
Have been playing for a couple of weeks now and it's been awesome, but for me and a couple of other mates who come and go the server starting to become a bit 'safe'. We have a population of about 75%~ TOG which is great, but it does take some of the excitement out of the game as we don't fire on each other and a range of non TOGgers are also considered allies. I want to put an idea forward to the admins and regular players.. How about we look at creating TOG factions outside of the valley, where players could form groups of 4 to 6 players and anything goes? Perhaps Rad Town, Rad & Resource Valleys always remains neutral TOG territory and everywhere else on the map is fair game with factions fighting it out for survival? Just a thought.. Cheers, M
Server having issues; tried connecting via IP but fails to connect with the net.connect command. Stepped outside of the house, closed the door annnnd... screwed. lol Does not show up as online either when trying to view the server in the list.
Raid last night Hey all, Last night the drums of war were sounded and the battle lines were drawn. How dare they rain filth and fire down on TOG from their base with blocked roads and evil spiked walls. What started as whispers soon led to a roar as the mighty team of TOG banded together in the growing dusk to smite this tirrany from the world. The sound of mighty axe against tree felling the timber for the siege weapons rang through the day. The roar of the fires as weapons and ammunition were smelt in preparation filled the air with acrid smoke and haze. Then..as the night closed in they gathered... this band of brothers ( and sister) who took a knee and asked the gods of war for victory this day. The entry teams in their Kevlar and shotguns, eyes glinting with rage and fire.. The skirmish teams in camo ready to rain fire and suppression on any that would dare. The raid teams, backs loaded with siege weapons and then mighty packs for hauling loot once the compounds were breached. It was a well oiled fighting team that stood before this mighty fort. As the walls were breached the enemy was taken by surprise. That is until his face exploded in a blast of three shotguns spewing forth hate took that from him. His crumpled body soon stripped and discarded aside as they had done before to fellow brothers who had fallen under this evil. Yes, some of the enemy were taken by surprise and hacked to death in their sleep. This was not a mission of mercy. All would perish this night Yes.. some brave TOG would fall this night.. One soldier staggering from the rocks tripped and fired off his weapon causing the team to turn and shoot upon him before he could raise a hand and scream .... FRIENDLY. TO a brother eagerly looting the storage boxes.. so engrossed in his haul he failed to her the "Fire in the HOLE" as the explosive charges laid waste to the doorway. His body tenderly lifted and carried home by his fellow brothers for a proper burial. Soon the cries of effort were heard, all loaded down with loot from the raid they trudged home along the dark roads.. voices raised in victory. Inthe distance the screams of the enemy returning home could be heard. Anguish and revenge dripping from every word... They would seek their revenge... Would we be able to hold against the coming onslaughts that would follow. Time will tell...
Lol nice. Lessons from last nights raid. Jumping out from behind some rocks and firing a shotgun, is not a substitute for "hello mates" If you stand in front of a primed breeching charge... you're gonna have a bad time. If you are swinging a hatchet/pickaxe with friendlies in close proximity and get a white 'x' hit marker, it would be best if you stopped swinging. Don't stand in front of someone swinging a hatchet/pickaxe.
some may have seen this rust vid, it's good for a laugh https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fQ4hSQe-jyg *note* has naughty language in some parts
How populated is the TOG Server? I think I prefer those that arent too empty as people get too big, way too quick.
