After a mate of mine showed me the link, I've ordered a US copy of Super Smash Bros Brawl and a European freeloader disc to allow it to run on PAL. Cost me $95 including postage, so its probably cheaper than the no doubt $99.95 they'll charge in September or so when they bother to release it in Australia. Can't wait!

Thanks Chunks...keep up updated on the freeloader [wii version] as I wouldn't mind getting one.

Post your friend codes and I'll attempt to add you. Not sure that I can if you aren't in the US. Plus trying to be online at the same time would be a bugger.

Mine hasn't arrived yet - really wishing I'd used UPS instead of the slower, cheaper shipping :)

MY friend who put me onto this has had his arrive and tells me it works fine though - bastard (adds bulldog and Trassius to that list :))!

OK, impressions so far - very fun game.

Tried doing a random net game, but I imagine at this point its basically all US folks playing, and lag made it unplayable (and soon dropped out).

Performance playing a fellow Australian online was fine.

Have finished the Subspace Emmissary now, and found a lot of the platformy stuff very frustrating - sometimes the guys just refuse to grab a ledge resulting in plummeting to your doom.

At least I've unlocked most of the characters now, which means I got to try out Sonic and Mr Game and Watch, the two I was most looking forward to.

Game and Watch is my favourite character to use, while Sonic is a bit meh. Other favourite for me are Diddy Kong, Metaknight, and Yoshi, wtih Bowser or Ike probably being my favourite Heavies thus far.
