Fox, dude, start adding other options to your polls - you had no option that clearly stated NONE.

    As in SFA

    As in Nada

    !!!

    Sports kills people.

Being a sports fan, I'm watching them when I can... or when they are broadcast.

I like some events, but with all the doping scandals etc. going on it's kind of disheartening....I actually attended the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and had a great time, but times and political events have discouraged my family and I from attending any such events.

As far as watching them on the TV....I would say occassionally.

    What's the point?

The only thing we shall really se in Australia will probably be swimming, swimming, some more about Jana Pittman (for the people OS, an Aussie runner), swimming...

I hate swimming as a sport. It could not bore me more, yet it seems to be the only thing we are 'good' at.

 Sydney is in Australia. 'Kiwis' are New Zealanders. It is their national bird. A funny little flightless thing that forages around in the undergrowth. Probably typical of a NZer too... :D 8O

I love the Olympics especially any female athlete event. Sigh those female gymnasts just do it for me *droolz* I will watch as much as possible as long as it doesn't affect my gaming time.

Oh yeah and I will be definitely watching Roy and HG. flatbag. Damn those bastards changed forever my perceptions of athletics.

I love it when the Aussies beat the bigger countries. The olympics doesnt come around very often and only lasts a couple of weeks so I'll be watching when the aussies have a chance a winning something. :)

Thank you MotherFlanker. If this whole thread serves only to educate one Yank to one geographical fact about our part of the world then it has done its job.

Oh yes - I have just three words for us non-sport-watching blokes: Women's Beach Volleyball. :p
