I wonder if people are going to bitch about how bright and colorful everything looks in Torchlight II...like they are with Diablo III?

I could care less, personally. Gameplay looks good to me...more of what made the first one fun.

    :D Sorry.... :p

I love the look and the ambient music. Very nicely done. Apparently there is 4x the content of the first game [IMG]

Torchlight 2 is having a stress test this weekend. Which means loads of beta keys to be given out. Sign up here -> https://secure.runicgames.com/signup

Meanwhile, no beta access getting you down? Watch a pre-review!

Looking forward to this game, mostly because it has co-op LAN to play it with some friends on a lanparty.
(Path of Exile is another good optione for a Hack & Slash RPG, but it requires an internet connection)
I'm not really interested in Diablo 3 either. IMHO it wouldn't be such a big hype if it wasn't Diablo.

Read this on Twitter: if you have 20 bucks, get Torchlight 2. If you have 60 bucks, get 3 copies of Torchlight 2

I was lucky enough to get an invite early saturday for the weekend play, and the client was small enough to download quickly. Theyve done a great job on it, it really is a very good game.

The combat is solid, it has a really punchy feeling to it and the skills were for the most part good, I didnt see anything that I considered useless. Theres plenty of enemy variety and the maps are actually pretty large, and best of all theyre randomised so one game is different from the next. I liked that there were extra quests out in the wilderness to find and complete, it doesnt appear to be all directed from one hub as such. I also liked all 4 of the classes, there wasnt a class I wasnt particularly happy with or found boring.

All in all a very solid title which id recommend to anyone whos on the fence.

Got a beta key on Monday, luckily the beta was till Friday 9am my time, so got a good play through of the first few areas. Played as the beserker this time through and had a great amount of fun tearing through enemies. Probably will pre-order it, on steam at the moment you get the original copy free if you pre-order the second version.

Picked it up the other day as a pre order as none of the guys I work with have said anything about D3. Should be a bit of fun.....

Anyone here interested in the multiplayer aspect of the game? Just wondering how we can get some games setup via the forums rather than leaving to folk to seek out randoms.

I imagine your steam friends list will be the best bet for getting games up and running. If there's enough interest we could also start a Steam Group for finding games with TOGgers not on your friends list.

    Let's bump this topic.

I'm considering pre-purchasing this, mainly so I can get a copy of the first one for free. Loving the demo, but waiting til the end of the month. On a promise not to spend any money this month with the wife.

I'm prebuying it today, so I can get a free copy of Torchlight 1 on steam. I liked the demo trial version, and want the rest of it.

I was just wondering if there was enough interest in this to establish a steam group? or is that not done around here?
