glad to have you with us!!!
Welcome, hope you enjoy your stay at TOG .
Welcome to TOGers mate.
I have read the sticky, AUP and FAQ. I'm interested in participating in a mature gaming community and agree with the TOG vision.
My introduction was blunt and hasty. So...
I am at the minimum age limit (turned 25 last month). I'm a big aviation and military enthusiast. I used to work in civil aviation but stopped flying last year. I have an application with the airforce and armored but they are taking their sweet time. Now I got nothing but time on my hands! I dont fit in to the category of married with children and squeezing in occasional game time after work. But then again, I am also in the generation who can harken back to the old days of atari, commodore 16-64, nintendo-sega and brand spanking new PC-386! I was thrilled when i spent my live savings to upgrade to my 486DX!!! The power... I am guilty of collecting ROMS and emulators; Trying to hang on to those old school thrills. Me and my friends also collect old arcade machines. Trent and gaming goes waaay back. I thought i was the only one he he.
I also feel my age when im taking orders from younger players. Though reflexed and skilled, they have no idea how to form a decent battle plan, how to support eachother, and most of all they dont act very civil or honorable. In TOG's scope of games, teamwork and strategy is key (especially ww2online/planetside) and I find myself most at home with the mature minded group who dont mind patiently thinking something through or taking the slower support roles. I've joined many outfits/clans and left every one of them. They lack maturity, leadership and cohesion. Although its only a game and light hearted entertainment, the game becomes annoying and shallow when nobody wants to work together, when your boss acts like a spoilt brat, or when your "team mate" repeatedly shoots you in the back for a cheap laugh (sigh, grow up guys!). Basically they were just a rabble of teens having a cheap laugh while calling themselves the "uberl33tPWNj00" gang or whatever.. Im definitely not part of that generation thank god.
The reason i was referred to TOG by a player in Planetside was because I could take orders and had an interest in team play. Instead of dishing out insults and taunts, I followed the plan and acted like a good bloke. Gaming is a guilty little hobby of mine. I'm not hardcore 24/7, but when I do play I like to do a good job and make friends at the same time.
My main game is planetside. I can be on anytime between 18:00 -> 23:00 CST (UTC+9:30). I seasonally play ww2online. Also play SWG. There's so many fricken servers on SWG its a joke so i doubt our paths will cross. I am on Bria.
Hope to see you on the gamefield sometime!
hiya mate and welcome to TOG
