Sorry if this has been covered before.. I did a quick search and didn't find anything here, and I googled my question but see that there are many different opinions.

I'm going to be picking up Halo 3: ODST on Boxing Day, and in order to install it to my hard drive I'll need to free up some space (read: delete some games I rarely play anymore).

My question is: am I able to delete the games themselves while retaining my saved progress? Or when I delete them will I have to start over if/when I ever pick them up to play again?

The general consensus on the net was that when I uninstall them I'll keep my achievements at least.. is that also true?

    Thanks!

    You sure can.

    On your XBOX go to:

My Xbox/System settings/memory and select your Hard drive.
(System settings is the last option on the "My Xbox" line)

    • Open the games folder then select the HALO: ODST folder.
    • There you should see a list of items relevant to your game. (Save files, etc.)
    • Select the file labeled HALO: ODST Installed XBOX 360 game.
    • Then select delete.

The game will be gone, but your save files will remain. :)

To make double sure you don't delete your save games, move / copy them to a USB data stick first. The XBOX will now allow use of up to a 16GB stick.
