    Really?

That seems like a really bad choice, tech wise the difference in complexity and cost is tiny and everyone will expect a 6" touch-screen device in 2012 to be multi-touch.

I don't understand that at all.

SD screen on controller doesn't matter, I do remember an interview where someone said the console (not the controller) can run games (on a tv) at 1080p though.

The controller is huge , Has nobody at Nintendo ever hear of ergonomics
who wants to hold a shoebox form and size controller in his hand that weighs a ton.

Word from E3 is that it is actually pretty good to hold onto.

No matter how good the console looks on paper. You'll still struggle to find a decent game on it

Nah cant say I am. Mario was ok when I was little, then they made him all 3D and spoilt it.

That's how I feel about it now, outside their core franchises. I'm very apprehensive about even buying one since I was burnt so bad by the Wii. I enjoyed it at launch but not much after that.

Do you play your Wii with friends? Do you have kids who use it? From our experience, the Wii succeeded very well for both those scenarios. It will be interesting to see if the Wii U will do likewise. The new console may actually promote it being used in isolation from others. If so, then the lack of suitable games may be a problem.

I play it with my wife on weekends, and that's mainly New Super Mario Brothers Wii which is fun. I also love the fact that she likes playing games and honestly she uses the console more than I do. But we don't have kids yet, but by the time our first is old enough I figure the Wii will be packed away.
