Between 1993 and 1996 there was one company that, for me, had the honor of making the worst Super Nintendo games in history. That company was THQ. The really made some terrible terrible movie license games and some very poor arcade ports. The crown jewel of terrible THQ games really has to be Pit Fighter. We can all agree that the arcade version of Pit Fighter wasn't that bad, and it was quite an innovation in its time. THQ bestowed one of the worst arcade to console ports ever. Here is a video: [ame=http://youtube.com/watch?v=-HNUL4CHvvk]YouTube - Worst Video Games Ever - Pitfighter[/ame] Substandard graphics, no apparent "control" system (ie: please smash the gamepad keys randomly and pray) and the complete absence of any form of gameplay puts this right up there with games that one should burn.
anything with a blue hedgehog collecting gold rings fighting a fat dude in a floating wheelchair to save some baby animals Give me ET any day over that steaming pile ET was real bad all movie tie ins are bad
I agree with kuantize, most movie to game adaptions have been a disaster, its like they are just making a game to cash in, so they do a terrible job.
I feel Tulgar there, i also palyed Samantha Fox on the C64 but i had a picture viewer hack so i couild just load up the pics.... how saw i was when i was younger Speaking of truly bad games, i remember on the C64 there was game called "REVS" which dad used to love playing... but you just went in a straight line and tried not to blow your engine. I didnt see the action in that game..
superman for atari was pretty shite compared to its peers too. Yes, it was bad compared to berzerk and space invaders. That's saying something. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r7U2TFIayos[/ame]
Try Ticket to Ride on PC or X-Box, Settlers of Catan on PC or X-Box. Heaps of great boardgames are on the PC. Just have to find teh right version.
Ootpos All you got was the box-art. You find yourself imprisoned in a cell....... (I never did get out)!
"Attack of the Planet of the Robot Monsters" May not be the worse game, but it has my vote for the worse title for a game.
Its not that E.T. wasn't a terrible game it was the amount of hype compared to the steaming buggy pile it was. It was the first true game flop. I remember driving home with this game, think "This is going to be so rad". The same company that had put out PacMan, Centipede, etc... Only to find I had been cheated out of my childhood savings. Nothing will ever be a larger game failure than E.T. it ruined a genre. Its only equal is the NGE in SWG. That had about the same level of disappointment, but in an MMO way. I should note that generally all my greatest game disappointments seem to revolve around Steven Spielberg. Hype is the dark side. - Bayland

I'll have to agree with that one. I don't actually play it, one of my sons does. Very annoying trying to get him off it. "I can't save". "I can't leave a battle". "I'm chasing this guy". Grrrr. So I've resorted to getting him off much earlier to prepare for sports etc and he cracks it My vote for worst game would be D. No saves, and you had to do it in one sitting. Luckily I only hired it. Took about 4-5 goes to complete it. So all up, less than 10 hours of game time. Rubbish. Terrible concept.
