I'm looking forward to some online combat. Exploit you and your brother up for a game sometime? I will try and get Scratches, Viper and Leeerrrrooo if you guys are up for some R6V2, HALO3 or CoD MW?

I did just read games like Mass Effect cost 6000 MSP in Australia, well, it was described to convert to 99$, which is 58€ and utterly ridiculous, as it's quite near the price of a new release.
360 GOD pricing varies by territory News // Xbox 360 /// Eurogamer - Games Reviews, News and More

I think our 30€ is a bit rip off too, like 25€ would be ok, but it certainly is not so far fetched as 58€, or 99 Australian Dollars. I even feel bad for you and this is not sarcasm.

The best thing with this update was the rating system, yet I saw some people had rated MW2, so I think there is one thing that should be repaired...

And what about buying a pair of virtual Adidas shoes? Like 400 MSP, so am I really willing to pay to advertise? :w

Just now in my desk, under a pile, is Alissa Quart's book "Branded", now it feels worth reading.

    I hear you mate!

The price of down-loadable games on XBL are ridiculous. Mass Effect of $99.95? I can buy it in store with a manual for $39.

The Avatar Market place is just as over priced. 800 Microsoft points for a light saber my avatar can wiggle about ... That is just stupid.

IGN: Games on Demand: Fair Deals & Price Hikes

These are American prices so at least MS is not biased ... they are ripping off everyone! (Although Mass effect is $20us ... maybe they do hate Aussies?)
On a side note. Nice .sig and avatar Zaxvien

    Thanks!

I got some afterthoughts about this issue, like S'plosion Man is to be patched to have awardables/awardable. So it is not problematic.

Then there was a light saber and Gears of War armor in the avatar marketplace. What would someone think could be great awards for Gears of War 2 or a Star Wars game? - Gears2 armor, light saber.

Maybe the original plan was different, but then someone got greedy?

Does not matter so much, but in a way the overall feeling that I have to pay monthly and what I get is "an online shop with advertisements".

I will speak to the others and get back to you. You still have the same mobile number? If not I will PM you on XBL and PSN.

For good or bad, MS Australia still need retail stores to sell their product.

Until you can download an Xbox360, they will need EB and Game and Harvey Norman and all these places to sell the Xbox, the controllers, the headsets, the harddrives.

They can't just barge in and undermine their biggest customers - after all, it is retail who buys the product off Microsoft, not you as an individual.

Remember - this is a brand new service Microsoft are offering. It will have teething problems and issues with pricing and download limits, but things DO change, and believe it or not, sometimes for the better.
